"The body is precious.

It is our vehicle for awakening.

Treat it with care.

- Buddha

All massage treatments are carried out in a confidential, warm and nurturing environment to maximize deep relaxation - which is one of the main pleasures and benefits of good massage. Professional organic massage waxes are used containing blended aromatherapy oils to suit your needs and preferences for certain aromas.

Remedial massage focuses on actually correcting a physical problem, pain, or dysfunction. The clinical therapy session and subsequent sessions follow a treatment plan that you develop with the massage therapist which has short and long term end-goals. This massage aims to solve a specific problem or complaint.

Remedial

Therapeutic

Therapeutic massage is a general term that describes any type of massage that helps relieve pain, reduce stress, and work on a specific problem - such as a frozen shoulder. People tend to assume therapeutic massage means deep tissue massage - this is not always the case. Basic therapeutic massage techniques are derived from a variety of massage styles. Kristina will tailor the massage techniques depending on your needs.

Sport

This is not just for the sports person: anyone can benefit from sports massage, including people in physically demanding jobs and those with occupational, emotional and postural stress - which may produce many similar characteristics to sports injuries.

The main purpose of sports massage is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Above all it helps prevent those injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement.

Sports massage tends to be deeper and more intense. It is based on the various elements of Swedish massage and often incorporates a combination of other techniques involving stretching, compression, friction, toning, and trigger point response techniques similar to Acupressure and Shiatsu.

Testimonials

"I work with dogs, and these lovely pets make sure that all my muscles are always in action. I have been going to Kristina for maintenance massages for the last three years. She always enquires to the current problem-areas as to give the right massage for that moment. And if I need to have a 'reset' of my brain and body I choose to go for reflexology. After Kristina has worked 'her magic' on my feet, I always feel revitalised and this great sense of calm. I would recommend and have done so to all who need compassionate and professional body treatments."
